Knowing where your child’s development stands, before, During, and after each story.

You will see immediate results.

Every It’s Your Story adventure is built on trusted early childhood developmental science. At age 3, a child’s brain is forming critical connections for emotional understanding, focus, decision-making, and memory. That’s why our stories are more than entertainment—they’re designed to gently exercise the brain through age-appropriate storytelling, visual choices, and emotionally meaningful moments. You’ll read together, watch short videos, and guide your child through small daily adventures that build real-world skills—without ever feeling like a test.

Before the first full story begins, your child is taken through a short, story-based baseline. This isn’t a quiz—it’s a playful tale with embedded decisions that help us understand where your child currently shines, and where they need support. Over the next 7 days, every daily story focuses on strengthening those exact growth areas. Then, on Day 7, your child completes another story-based check-in, giving you real, measurable insight into how they’ve grown—so the next book can be tuned even better. Real-time results. Real growth. Real smiles.

What Is My Child Being Tested On?

At age 3, children are developing rapidly across several core areas. Our stories are carefully designed to test and strengthen these foundational skills without ever feeling like a test. Instead, your child engages in playful storytelling, guided choices, and short visual challenges—all while we quietly track four key areas of early development:

The 4 Core Areas We Assess

  1. Emotional Recognition
Can your child recognize basic emotions like happy, sad, scared, or excited in story characters? Do they respond with empathy or curiosity?

  2. Choice Confidence
When presented with simple choices, does your child confidently make a decision? Or do they hesitate, wait for direction, or repeat the same answer?

  3. Cause & Effect Understanding
Does your child notice how one action leads to another? For example, if a bunny loses a gem, do they understand that finding it will make the bunny happy?

  4. Memory & Recall
Can your child remember something introduced earlier in the story and use it later? Can they identify a clue or item they’ve seen before?

How Scoring Works

(Simple. Smart. Invisible.)

Each “Story Test” (Day 1 and Day 7) includes 4–5 moments where your child’s choice, response, or interaction gives us insight into their abilities. There are no wrong answers—just observations of behavior. Behind the scenes, we assign a score from 1 to 5 in each area:

ScoreWhat It Means
1Skill is emerging and needs support
2Child shows beginning awareness
3Growing skill with some consistency
4Confident, independent behavior
5Strong skill mastery for age

On Day 1, your child receives a baseline score in each area. Over the next 6 stories, we focus storytelling challenges specifically on their lowest two-scoring areas. On Day 7, we reassess—and provide you with a clear, visual progress report that shows improvement or areas still needing attention.

No pressure. No stress. Just gentle, story-based growth—delivered with heart, backed by science.
